The scope of the work was the replacement of a narrow bridge and the rehab of Tower Road adjacent to the bridge. The bridge was replaced with a conspan construction. There were challenging environmental issues in place the new bridge and also in wetland mitigation. The work required 2 full detour as the bridge was placed half at a time. This is a major route to Denver International Airport so traffic accommodation was paramount. All traffic control was done in house. There were also 20,000 yards of import on the site. |
