2004 Tomichi Road Paving Project Cost $2,200,038.58 |
Scope: |
This project included the reconstruction of approximately 3 miles of existing county road within an established neighborhood. The quantities included 31,424 cys of cut to fill placement along the roadway to improve site distance and safety. Replacement of existing culverts with concrete box culverts and new CMP’s, 3,830 tons of rip rap of varying sizes, and 23,150 tons of HBP asphalt. All of this work had to be accomplished under a contractor designed traffic control plan devised by Hudick Excavating that allowed all the existing residents full access to their homes during the construction. Hudick Excavating was actually the third place bidder on this project but was chosen over the lower bidders based on past experience with Douglas County for previous construction work done under these sensitive conditions. |
